Los Angeles, CA – Treehouse Bandits is celebrating the release of their new children’s book “The Adventures of Super Bunny and Giant Cat Bear and Charlie” at Happy Six on Saturday, February 11, from 7:00 PM until 10:00 PM. Popular artist, Patrick Ballesteros, and prolific writer, Kevin Staniec will both be on hand to sign and personalize copies of this inspirational book.

ABOUT THE BOOK: It’s easy to substitute the word practice for failure, but Super Bunny is tired of falling short of his dreams. While learning important life lessons through creative perseverance this self-proclaimed ‘super hero’ alongside his trusty sidekick, Giant Cat Bear, quickly collides with the inevitable reality.

Using a simple storytelling narrative and vivid illustrations we follow Super Bunny and Giant Cat Bear and Charlie from concept to conclusion through various problem-solving predicaments.

For kids and the kids at heart. Never give up on your dreams.

DETAILS: The Treehouse Bandits are a gang of explorers and pioneers. These creative outlaws of the playground live for action and adventure. Their stories teach us about self-confidence, strength of character, friendship, and the importance of imagination.

Patrick Ballesteros works as a freelance concept artist and illustrator in Los Angeles. He has completed work for the video game, film, and animation industries. Raised on 1980s cartoons he brings his own childhood memories to life through his artwork. Having a mutual love for art and telling fun stories, he teamed up with Kevin in 2008 to create Super Bunny and Giant Cat Bear and Charlie.

Kevin Staniec is an arts advocate, publisher, and writer. He is the co-founder of ISM: A Community Project, a non-profit arts organization. He has worked at the Autry National Center, Muckenthaler Cultural Center, and the Orange County Museum of Art. He currently works for the Arts, Culture, and Heritage division at The Orange County Great Park. Kevin is also the author of And This Was My Happy Ending and I Am. You Are.

Happy Six first opened in early 2002 as a trendy little boutique in Los Angeles with the latest fashion trends and hard-to-find limited edition products.
